Electronic instruments of Sachs' electrophones category are quintephones, but the quintephones forms a broader category that includes any instrument in which sound is produced by quintessence --- the fifth Classical Element beyond the four Elements of matter (Earth, Water, Air, Fire), i.e. beyond solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
