The first school in Quindanning was opened during the 1880s. In 1901 a new school constructed of unlined timber and corrugated iron was opened in the town, and operated for six years until 1907, when it was dismantled and relocated. Enrolment at the rebuilt school numbered 20 students. During the late 1940s parents of the town became dissatisfied with conditions within the school, and in March of 1952 a new building was opened at a total cost of 2,475 pounds, with an enrolment of 23 students. However, the school was eventually closed on 23 December 1960, with children commuting by bus to the nearby regional schools at Boddington and Williams.
