Quintanar de la Sierra is a municipality located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 1,896 inhabitants. Classic gangs like "Peña Estendijaos" make special visit Quintanar.

As well as being a spectacular town for going on festivals and many other funny things, the most important asset is its natural environment. Around Quintanar can be found one of the biggest and most unknown natural resources from Spain.

It is in the middle of de biggest Spanish pines, oak trees and beeches forest in which there are beautiful places like Laguna Negra de Neila (Neila’s black lake) or several celtiberian necropolis, which are very important in the Spanish cultural heritage.

Natural and adventure activities can be played in Quintanar de la Sierra like trekking, climbing, and mountain bike for visiting places like Las Calderas, Picos de Urbion or Peña el Vaso
