Quinn Redeker

Quinn K. Redeker (born May 2, 1936 in Woodstock, Illinois) is an American actor and scriptwriter, who is well-known for his work acting on soap operas.

Redeker has been a scriptwriter for over 30 years, with the most notable work to his name being the story writer for the 1978 film The Deer Hunter. On television, he started acting in 1960 and amassed appearances on over five dozen television series, becoming most known for his roles as Alex Marshall on Days of our Lives, which he played from 1979 to 1987, and Rex Sterling on The Young and the Restless, which he played from 1987 to 1994.

He was twice nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for his role on The Young and the Restless, in 1989 and 1990. He also won a Soapy Award for Best Villain for his role on Days of our Lives in 1983.
