Quinctius

Quinctius (female Quinctia, plural Quinctii) was the name of a gens of the Roman Republic. The adjective form is Quinctian.
Among the most prominent members of the Quinctii:
- Titus Quinctius Capitolinus Barbatus, consul in 471, 468, 465, 446, 443, and 439 BC;
- Titus Quinctius Poenus Cincinnatus, consul in 431 and 438 BC;
- Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, two times dictator;
- Caeso Quinctius, his son
- Titus Quinctius Flamininus, consul in 198 BC and winner of the Battle of Cynoscephalae;
- Lucius Quinctius T.f. Flaminius, consul in 189 BC;
- Tiberius Quinctius Flaminius, censor in 189 BC
- Titus Quinctius Atta, poet (d. 77 BC).
