Quik Is the Name is the debut album from Compton rapper DJ Quik, released on January 1, 1991 on Profile Records. It peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 sales chart. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA on July 26, 1995. It is his best selling album to date. Singles featured on the album include "Tonite", "Born and Raised in Compton", and "Sweet Black Pussy (xxx)". In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source Magazine's 100 Best Rap Albums.
