Quickberm
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quickberm is a berm design, a portable unit constructed of coated fabric with triangular aluminum-reinforced side walls, first used by the U.S. military in the late 1980s. The quickberm is a single-piece construction design that requires no assembly. It was designed to help the military and industry to comply with the regulations of 40 CFR part 112 of the Clean Water Act also referred to as the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) regulations. Typical applications for the quickberm include containing fuel tankers during transfer operations, providing containment for above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), portable generator sets, and chemical and hydrocarbon storage drums.
