[edit] Origin of Smarties

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Smarties (Nestlé), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.--McGeddon 09:22, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Wiki Social Contract

A tag has been placed on Wiki Social Contract, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 00:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit] Wiki Social Contract

please do not recreate speedy deleted content. If you disagree with the deletion, please take the issue to WP:DELREV. If you do not know how to initiate a delrev, please contact me or put {{helpme}} on your talk page. JERRY talk contribs 00:19, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I will not be restoring the page. Even before you added new content the intent of the page was quite clear - "Below will emerge a contract which is written by people from across the globe and many walks of life." I am sorry, but if you wish to write that sort of original, hitherto unpublished material, Wikipedia is not the place to put it on. Pegasus «C¦ 00:34, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I have no objection to your "Wiki Social Contract" idea but please, do not spam to promote your cause on Wikipedia articles such as social contract and constitution. Digg or slashdot would be better places to advertise your effort. Pegasus «C¦ 01:39, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
