Given how important Question Period is in Canada’s Parliament, I felt the need to re-write this article; however, I know it stills needs lots of work. It is my first wikipedia re-write, and I’m not sure if I went about citing and linking correctly; please make changes as necessary.

What this article needs added / next steps: 1) ‘In Practice’ section - It is often raucous with cries of ‘shame’ or ‘hear hear!’, Members from the Government may pose softball questions to their own, Members address the Speaker and refer to other Members by riding only, etc. 2) Expanded History 3) Importance of Question Period (i.e. soundbites from it are all over the news) 4) Famous/Notorious QP (Possible discussion of the debate over decorum in Parliament), discussion of incidents such as Peter Mackay’s “dog” reference and subsequent controversy..
