[edit] Retooling this article
I retooled the main text from this article, because it was pretty sparse, and was not in line with the Manual of Style. I kept all of the episode listings. Here's the original text (for posterity).

- A character on the TV Show Dark Shadows.
- He was played by David Selby. First appearing as a ghost in the present day (1968) storyline, the :character was at the forefront of the 1897 flashback storyline, in which he became a werewolf. Quentin :Collins first appeared in episode 646 and was included in nearly every episode after.
- The character of Quentin Collins eventually became very popular with fans of the show, particularly :with females; his popularity even rivalled that of the show's resident vampire Barnabas Collins.
- David Selby also played Quentin in 1971's Night of Dark Shadows which was based on, but in an :alternate timeline to, Dark Shadows. The basic plot was that Quentin Collins, an artist, and his wife :move into his ancestral home and find themselves plagued by ghosts and spirits of his ancestors; one :of whom was hung as a witch.
[edit] Quentin II history is wrong
As I recall, Magda Racosi, not Petofi, turned Quentin into a werewolf out of anger when Quentin murdered her sister, his wife. Quentin had killed her in self-defense, but Magda didn't believe it and anger overcame her. She later regretted it and told Quentin how to cure his lycanthropy with the artifact known as The Hand of Count Petofi. His hand preceded him, but later Petofi himself came into the picture to get his hand back, with which he could then take over the world, or something. He lost it the first time when the gypsies cornered him, cut it off, and turned him into a werewolf. Petofi cured his lycanthropy somehow, and offered to cure Quentin. Instead, however, Petofi pulled the old mind/body switcheroo on Quentin, and the future was changed when Petofi-as-Quentin forced Barnabas to send him back to 1969 and some weird crap happened, and Quentin got his body back, but I forget the details. 0-0-0-Destruct-0 19:53, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
