[edit] Women of colour?
"She has developed her own line of cosmetics for women of color called the Covergirl Queen Collection" Come on, honestly, cant this be something different, like... black people?
[edit] Headline text
She also had her own talk show. "Queen Latifah Show". "Too many shows are either real, 'around the way'ghetto or they tear your heart apart and don't help you," she said. "My show will be Oprah meets Rosie meets Chris Rock. I want to bring the voice of the classy youth of America -- young people who like to have fun and deal with issues."
- Thanks, I added a bit about that. DocOck 21:37, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Other movies
Wasn't she in Spike Lee's movie Jungle Fever? She played the role of a waitress and wore a dasheke (sp).
She played Ana Wallace in the HBO Films original production "Life Support" March 10, 2007. Based on a true story.
I heard rumours (I could be wrong) that she will not be acting in the sequel to bringing down the house (scheduled for 2007)
I also heard that she will be acting in bad girls(a parody of bad boys).

Queen Latifah was in a film called "My Life," (1993) which starred Michael Keaton and Nicole Kidman.

She also played Alice 'Teeny' Fletcher in "Sphere" (1998). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sparhawksdotcom (talk • contribs) 20:21, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Picture?
Could someone maybe get a picture for this page? Even a bad one is better than none at all! - RHeodt 22:26, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. JackO'Lantern 22:31, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hollywood Walk of Fame
According to the article on German Wikipedia, Queen Latifah was the very first hip-hop artist to have a star on the Walk of Fame. If this is true, then it's not relevant if she's the first female hip-hop star. Gilliamjf 09:54, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge with Dairy Queen?
Seriously, WTF?!?! I'll be removing that unless anybody actually feels that it should be done... munboy 02:40, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clean-up tag
This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Please improve this article if you can. (March 2007) |
Shall I put this tag on top of the article? I think it is quite obvious this article isn't that great when it comes to citing sources, so maybe I should put one of those tags on the article. I would like a second opinion before I go off adding things. Thanks in advance. Arrowhead1 19:14, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've just done a little cleaning of the article. There was a fair bit of poor grammar, some unclear statements, and some vandalism that I've tried to repair. The article looks clean to me now, but I agree that it could be much better cited. I'm not sure if a cleanup template would be best at this point -- maybe the template for citing sources instead? --DavidGC 07:31, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
No on mentioned that she was in a few frames of the OPP Video written and performed by Naughty by Nature - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2281767011910106247&q=OPP&total=4468&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.77.163.234 (talk) 03:14, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Personal Life
Why is the statement "It has later been stated that Latifah was dating her female trainer, Jeanette Jenkins." listed here? In bold letters none the less? Did Queen Latifah state this herself? Until she comes out of the closet, I think statements like this should be removed...
Has Queen Latifah ever got married...or any children????
- I removed the following statement: "confirming the rumors that they were true", from the personal life section. The quote that follows does not confirm her sexuality. kc12286 00:51, 28 April 2007 (UTC)kc12286
[edit] "most likely" the Actors' Studio?
I removed the paragraph about Latifah crying about her brother. It seemed one part rumor, one part speculation. The person who added that info didn't even know what show this allegedly happened on! Completely irrelevant, and terribly researched. Minaker 00:17 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguation
Please can someoone redirect Brown Sugar to Brown Sugar (film)? (I can't because it's protected)--Coin945 14:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Done --Dumarest 11:33, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
This article does not mention anything about her role in the film "New Jack City" this fil came out in about 1990 and she sung the song "For the Love of Money" with Levert and Troup. In my opinion one of the best sountracks for a gangster movie ever. This movie significantly helped if not launched many of the careers of the actors in that film, Wesley Snipes indicated such in an interview. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinoone (talk • contribs) 07:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lesbian Wedding
For now it looks like this is still a rumor, but the article claims it's true, and the citation provided in the article links to a rumor website that doesn't appear very credible. Unless someone can give some better evidence I'm going to delete it.VatoFirme (talk) 00:14, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Just for everyone info, Latifah is gonna be the new jenny craig spokesperson for 2008. yeah i no, its a bummer. i thought she was comfortable with the way she looked, but this newly aquired information has really let me down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.74.135.140 (talk) 20:44, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The film 'Sphere'
Queen Latifah was also in the film Sphere. Someone should edit that in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.225.248.10 (talk) 22:19, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
queen Latifah is not gay the only reason people think that is because she was in the movie SET IT OFF and she was in that —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.98.185.49 (talk) 23:01, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Two infoboxes look repetitive in text browsers
The two infoboxes appear repetitive and like something is broken, at least in text browsers, like w3m. Jidanni (talk) 23:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
