[edit] Notes
The Baden powell award is not part of the mainstream scouting movement, only the "Baden powell scouts" a group founded in 1970.
The queens scout is the highest award. see (for example) this random scouts page. Zeimusu | (Talk page) 13:56, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Actually the Baden Powell Award is a part of mainstream Scouting in Australia. Not every country has got rid of Rovers, you know. David Ham 28 May 2006.
I've amended this so that all references to "Queen's Scout" have the apostrophe. Michael (a Queen's Scout). Oxford. 7 March 2006.
[edit] British Commonwealth?
Should the reference to "British Commonwealth" instead be Commonwealth Realm? The link goes to that article. Likewise, is the award given by the British Monarch, or the Head of the Commonwealth (who at present happens to be the same person)? I might be British, and a monarchist, but citizens of other Commonwealth nations might object to being referred to them and their head of state being referred to as British.
[edit] Queen's Scout?
Q, Is this the same award as Queen's Guide? A, The Queen's Guide award is the Girl Guiding UK's equivelant of the The Queen's Scout Award. (Aston Wood, QSA Coordinator National HQ)Email the Office
[edit] Removal Of "Harder" claim
As a holder of both awards I agree with this claim! However, this is a personal opinion and therefore has no place on Wikipedia.
[edit] Australia: Small Crown badge after 1968?
From late 1980 this Queen's Scout wore the small Crown on his sleeve while a Rover and Cub Leader. And other Queen's Scouts I knew wore the small Crown while they were Rovers until they achieved their B-P award. The date in the main text does not seem to match that experience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Markswan (talk • contribs) 12:41, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
