Queen of the Turf Stakes

The Queen Of The Turf Stakes is a Group 1 Australian thoroughbred horse race for fillies and mares aged three years old and over. It is a weight for age race, run over a distance of 1500 metres at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, Sydney in April.

1972 was run over 8 furlongs (approx 1600m).
1972—1978 held as a principle race.
1979—1984 held as a listed race.
1985—1990 held as a group 3 race.
1991—2004 held as a group 2 race.
2005 onwards held as a group 1 race.
2008 run at Canterbury Racecourse.
