From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Queen of Peace is a Catholic church situated at the junction of the Putland Road and the Vevay Road in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. The present church was built in 1946 by T & J Macken of St Patrick’s Street, Dun Laoghaire, with many local people employed on the construction.[1] The plot of land used was donated by the Presentation Brothers who were running Presentation College, Bray.

In 1993, the Parish Centre called Villa Pacis ("Home of Peace" in Latin) was built.

The parish of Queen of Peace has been finacially supporting its twin parish of Bugisi in Tanzania for a number of years. [2]

The parish has a very close relationship with St Cronan's B.N.S.. The parish provides the sacrements of Communion and Confirmation to the boys in the school. They also help to raise funds for the twin parish of Bugisi.
