Queen Sirikit Rose
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Queen Sirikit Rose is a hybrid rose of Konigin der Rosen and the Golden Giant Rose. It was first introduced in 1968. Two years later it won the First Prize in a rose competition in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Andre Hendricx, Director of "Grandes Roseraiea du Val de Loire", asked permission from Queen Sirikit of Thailand to name the rose after her.[1]
