[edit] History
On Thursday January 10, 2008[2] The Vancouver School Board released a plan to rebuild schools in the Dunbar area which would involve closing Queen Elizabeth Annex. The intent is to sell the land and use the money to expand educational options in the surrounding area. Many people are saddened by the potential closure. The VSB has proposed this course of action so that it can renovate a former research building at UBC into a state-of-the-art high school and convert the former high school into a new elementary school. Housing development in this part of the city has contributed to a significant population growth in the area.
[edit] Programs
One of the few schools in its area that has both an English and French Immersion program.
