Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of New Zealand's many visits to New Zealand have seen her become closely involved with all aspects of New Zealand life over a reign of nearly 50 years.

To celebrate this close relationship, a commemorative six stamp issue was produced, the stamps were available as singles or in a se-tenant strip of six.

Royal Visit 1953 - 40c The young Queen arriving for the State Opening of Parliament.

Royal Visit 1970 - 80c This stamp captures the spirit of the 'walk-abouts' that brought the Queen close to her people.

Royal Visit 1977 - 90c The Queen once again among the people on her Silver Jubilee visit.

Royal Visit 1986 - $1.30 The design from this stamp was used on the commemorative coin.

Royal Visit 1990 - $1.50 This stamp celebrates her visit to the Commonwealth Games in Auckland.
