I saw the request on this page to provide some context for the article. In my endeavour to do that, I ended up rewriting most of it, though it's still mostly based on what was there before. This is my first major contribution to Wikipedia, I hope it's acceptable. stephenw32768 19:52, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] speculation

as far as the edits of quatre and trowa, there is no official source to assure such a thing. on the conntrary the creators of the show denied any thing of that nature. and still such speculation is not in this place. and i believe the creators said it was pure fan creation so i deleted some of the edits that spoke about that.

[edit] question

Is Quatre gay? I seem to remember that that there was implication that he and Trowa were in love. 71.124.15.219 07:33, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering about that too. Does anyone have any information on their relationship? --Kakexorxdeath 17:55, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
There's never been any official statement as to whether any of the Gundam pilots are gay. Quatre is the one whose sexuality seems the most ambiguous, but he still has no official declared sexual orientation. Redxiv 04:38, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
There are a number of websites that document the subtext or suggestions that Quatre and Trowa (as well as Heero and Duo, and various other combinations) are gay and in a relationship. However, the creator of the show has explained that there is absolutely no intended romance in the series. There have been reports of translators purposely translating to further imply a relationship (apparently one of the translaters who did several scenes had a soft spot for Trowa and Quatre as a couple), but no matter what, it's all down to subtext and doesn't belong in the article.Iwanttobeasleep 03:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zero System

It's been a while since I watched Gundam Wing, but I seem to recall that Quatre removed the Zero System from Sandrock prior to the final battle. And that removing it didn't seem to reduce his ability to coordinate the Gundam pilots in battle at all (thus spawning fan speculation that he might be a Newtype). [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Quatres Image.jpg

Image:Quatres Image.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
