Talk:Quarter note

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is an alternate symbol for a quarter rest which looks like an eight rest merged with an inverted eigth rest. I have seen it sometimes in older hymnal music and arranger David Wright uses it in a hand written score in my posession but don't really know the history. Someone who knows about this should add it to the quarter note page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zenpickle (talkcontribs)

You're right, that should be included. My memory of it is actually of a basically a backwards eighth note. I'll see if I can find anything about it. Thanks, Mak (talk) 16:05, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
