Coordinates: 40°17′29.90″N, 74°40′56.136″W Quaker Bridge Mall is a two-level, major shopping center located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, on U.S. Route 1 near Interstate 295. The mall opened in 1975, and has over 120 retail establishments. Owned by Kravco Simon, the mall's anchor stores include J.C. Penney, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Old Navy and Sears. It is also the location of the transmitter for the New Jersey-based radio station WKXW-FM, better known as New Jersey 101.5. The mall has a gross leasable area of 1,102,000 ft²,[1] making it one of the largest shopping malls in New Jersey.

To accommodate the upcoming expansion of the mall, the JCPenney department store is expected to close and relocate to the southern area of the mall (adjacent to Sears) with an expected open date of Fall 2009.

Quaker Bridge Mall's regular season hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:30 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

[edit] Expansion

A proposed 600,000-square foot expansion project, targeted for completion in 2010, would add Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, along with as many as 100 new stores and restaurants.[2] Nordstrom's two-level, 144,000 square foot store will be the fifth Nordstrom store in New Jersey.[3] Neiman Marcus is planning to occupy about 90,000 square feet on two levels. However, work on the expansion has not started yet as of 2008.

A relocated JCPenney store as well as currently unnamed big box stores are also expected for the expansion. The expansion is expected to include up to 100 new stores and restaurants. The mall redevelopment is expected to be completed in 2010 with the anchor stores having an expected opening date of Fall 2009. Parking decks are also expected to be built to make up for parking lost in the expansion.

It was also rumored that Circuit City had shown interest in building a new store onto the mall to replace the aging store on mall grounds, but the proposed deal has fallen through. Currently, there are no plans to relocate it from its current spot on U.S. Route 1.
