The Quadrant Bus Station (or Swansea Bus Station[1]) is the bus station in Swansea, south Wales. It lies immediately to the west of the Quadrant Shopping Centre. The bus station opened along with the rest of the Quadrant Centre, replacing the old bus station opposite (next to the Grand Theatre). The bus station also has a small taxi rank to the south.
The station has twenty eight bays. Twenty bays are located on the west side where mainly local suburban and inter-urban south Wales buses depart. On the south side at Garden Street there are five bays where national buses operated by National Express depart from to major cities as London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol as well as Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport. Also from Garden Street, there is a regular half-hourly service, served by First Cymru's route 100 'Shuttle' bus from Swansea bus station to Bridgend Designer Outlet and Cardiff Central Station or Cardiff Bay. Three bays[dubious ] are located on Wellington Street on the south side for use by charter buses.

[edit] Future plans
With the station now being over twenty years old, the station is now in poor condition. Plans are afoot to re-develop the station into a more modern bus interchange facility.[2]
