This is a Chinese name; the family name is Qiu (丘).

Qiu Ben an officer serving under the Kingdom of Wei during the later years of the Three Kingdoms Period of China. Following Deng Ai's ultimate campaign to take over Shu, he first had to get through the gate that was defending the capital, in which was Mian Zhu Gate. Upon the battle that took place at this gate, Qiu Ben recommended for Zhuge Zhan to surrender to Wei. However, Zhuge Zan bravely refused to surrender, leading Qiu Ben to suggest for a surprise attack as to overwhelm the enemy. This tactic in the end proved successful, sadly taking the lives of the remaining relatives of the famous Shu strategist, Zhuge Liang.
