Diagram of British QF 12 & 14 pounder Common pointed shell Mk II (C).
Made of cast steel, head is 2 c.r.
Length 11.84 inches, diameter 2.98 inches. Weight 12.5 lbs fuzed & filled.
Filled with "P Mixture" (black powder), or "Shell, Q.F." and "Shell, F.G.".
Uses base percussion Fuze medium No. 12
Painted black for both Land and Naval service.
May be fired from any 12 or 14 pounder gun :-
