Qatarization is a program designed to increase the number of Qatari nationals in all joint venture industries and government departments. The target is 50% of the workforce in the Industry and Energy sector. Growing numbers of foreign-educated Qataris, including many educated in the United States, are returning home to assume key positions formerly occupied by expatriates.
