Qatar Industrial Development Bank or QIDB, a specialized financial institution fully owned by the Government of the State of Qatar, was established in 1997 with a view for development, promotion and financing of industrial projects. The scope of QIDB was broadened in 2006 to include Tourism, Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock. Accordingly, the name of the Bank was changed to Qatar Development Bank (QDB), to reflect its wider areas of activities. QDB has its Headquarters in Doha, Qatar.
