Although I'm fairly certain that Qasim is a woman, the article does not make it clear. Themindset 7 July 2005 04:57 (UTC)

No, Qasim was a man. A woman who would have tried to speak out about women's rights the way Qasim did in nineteenth century Egypt would, um, not have fared too well. func(talk) 7 July 2005 05:04 (UTC)
