Nawab Qasim Jan came from Yarkand (present day Xijiazhuang Province in China) in 1811 he was awarded the title KHAN and Hateen Province near gurgaon by the then King of Delhi Shah Alamgir he resided in Ballimaran where on his name there is a Gali & a Mosque.

Some of the prominent people who are linked to Qasim Jan lineage are Nawab Loharu, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed and Mirza Ghalib whereas his own descendents were:
