Qasigiannguit

Qasigiannguit, (Danish: Christianshåb), is a town on Disko Bay, Greenland and the administrative centre of the municipality of Qasigiannguit. Founded in 1734, the town's population is 1,320 (2005) and the area's main industry is shrimp and halibut fishing.
Greenland's oldest wooden house, dating from 1734, is in Qasigiannguit, which also has a museum with a collection of archaeological finds from different prehistoric cultures.
