[edit] Australian Air League
The barnstar is to say Thanks a lot for your hard work on Australian Air League. Your work has really made it a lot better. Plus, because you've only been here 10 days, I award you the Exceptional Newcomer Award. Great work! --Think Fast 03:02, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- I have, in fact, never been to Australia at all. I just got it off the internet:) --Think Fast 21:19, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Message regarding Sylvia Browne
Qarnos: My name is Robert Lancaster. I recently added the "Montel Williams 9/11 Reading Controversy" section to the Sylvia Browne page.
In reading the SB history page, I see that you are the person who added the section on the Sago Mine Controversy. First, congrats, well done!
Second, I would like to discuss something with you, but not here.
I would appreciate it if you would email me at [email removed] so that I can explain more.
Sorry if this was not the place to put this. I've done some Wiki editing, but this is the first time I've left a message for another Wiki editor... RSLancastr 00:26, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Title Change
Greetings. The article list of our interest has been moved to a new wikiproject page. The new title is called the >>> List of articles related to scientific skepiticism. If you have any suggestions for improvement just let me know. The movement forward will be focusing, direction, and quality info. Sincerely, --QuackGuru 03:20, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Copy-and-paste move
Please do not "move" pages by copying-and-pasting their content to the new title, as you did with Reece Young [1]. Instead, use the "move" tool next to the history link. This is necessary to preserve the history of the page. Thank you. Flyingtoaster1337 10:43, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Dear Qarnos,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you lack vandal fighting experience. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 22:58, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] O'Neill Sea Odyssey re-write
Much better, thanks. I couldn't see the forest from the trees. I will add stuff citing extenal sources relating to conference presentations on outdoor education and formal education standards. Dhaifley 18:52, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I tried to cite a paper I presented on low-income youth and outdoor education at a conferenece recently (why OSO is focused on lower income youth) and tried to write the edit code to cite the online book of abstracts (http://resources.ca.gov/ocean/cwo06/PDF/abstracts.pdf, page 67). I know what the reference should look like but I don't understand the code and retrieval system. Dhaifley 23:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for setting up the example. I am new and this really helps. I appreciate the time you took. Dhaifley 14:26, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Local Hero still frame 041206.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Local Hero still frame 041206.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning - 3RR
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Loose Change (2007 film). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. — Selmo (talk) 18:36, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- In regards to removing dispute tags while there's still a dispute. — Selmo (talk) 18:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
-
- Generally speaking, the 3RR warning is given when users make 3 reverts, not one. If you wish to flag the section as POV, then do so. But do not flag it as having unreliable sources when this is not the case.
-
- Or perhaps you feel we should just replace the page with "LOL inside job!!!11!!1"

[edit] Personal attack warning
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. — Selmo (talk) 12:40, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
- (ie. "LOL inside job!!!!!!111111111111") Seriously, please don't use generic "truther" insults on me. They go nowhere. — Selmo (talk) 12:56, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

- That dossen't matter. You've personally attacked me and when I tell you "don't", you snarl at me and continue to write huge responses to little mistakes I have made. You and your spiteful additude towards me, your BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS is far from productive. I am filing an arbitraton request against you for refusing to attempt to resolve the dispute. — Selmo (talk) 12:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- There is no dispute! I have listed on the talk page why your rationale for removing the Korey Rowe quote is invalid (it is not WP:BIO). If you have a legitimate reason for removing it other than you don't like it, I would love to hear it (you will also note I did not re-add the quote, pending your response). Instead, you have chosen to ignore it an make a frivolous arbitration request (good luck with that, BTW) rather than "engage in productive dialog", which you claimed in you mediation request you have been unable to do. The reason I decline mediation is because it was, just like the arbcom request, completely unwarranted at this stage. I find your actions in this regard to be completely childish and counterproductive.
- -- Qarnos 20:41, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- A dispute is a disagreement. My problem with establishing dialog with you is because you apparently have a problem with anything I do. Can you explain why you express so much anger towards me? Is it because I have a different opinion?— Selmo (talk) 20:52, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- My opinion of you, personally, is irrelevant. What matters is the quality of your contributions. If you want make a non-trivial change to the article, then you need to have a valid rationale for doing so. If you try to push a POV, then expect people to call you on it. -- Qarnos 21:39, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

- (Sorry about posting here Qarnos) Well a disagreement means you actually listen to the other side, rather than refer to policy and push your edits ahead, then complain about being stopped. You've made it clear you will ignore those who disagree with you. That isn't constructive. - RoyBoy 800 21:34, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Arbitration, what a waste of time. It's POV pushing. Yeah I noticed it's gone, on a whim it seems Selmo is under the impression ze has got zis way; or maybe that there is actually a consensus forming against zim. - RoyBoy 800 21:34, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm a bit disappointed it was pulled. I spent an hour writing a response which turned out to be a total waste of time. Oh well. -- Qarnos 21:45, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
