Talk:Qaranivalu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
this page is absolute rubbish, delete it immediately!
Roko Tui Naitasiri was creation of the Colonial native administration, akin to a provincial governor, with a salary from the crown.
the qaranivalu is not the paramount chief of Naitasiri, he is the senior chief of his part of naitasiri, but chief such as Tui Waimaro are equal in status (and if you asked tui waimaro, she would probably consider herself superior.
- Excuse me, we correct pages, not delete them, unless there are strong reasons to do so (e.g., pornography, non-notability, etc). You obviously know enough about this page to correct it - why don't you? David Cannon 23:16, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

Just a little word of advice here: talk pages are meant to be a permanent record of discussions, and (except for objectionable material) comments are not meant to be edited or removed, especially by other users. I'm reverting this removal. David Cannon 09:48, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

pardon me...this page is not rubbish...you mentioned something about the Roko Tui Naitasiri. There was never a Roko Tui Naitasiri traditionally. The Qaranivalu, through tribal warfare acquired all the adjoining district up the Rewa and Wainimala River. For your information, the Marama Roko Tui Waimaro is a sub ordinate of the Qaranivalu after they were defeated by the Bau forces aiding the Qaranivalu. The cause of the war is...the Waimaro people stole a pig that belonged to the Radi Naitasiri, Adi Arieta Kuila the wife of the Qaranivalu. Your statement however is true if it is applied to those near the boarder especially the districts of Narokorokoyawa or rather those who were part of the former Colo East Province. The Roko Tui Waimaro cannot claim to the overlord of Naitasiri. Remember only thoses districts that were a part of the former Colo East Province are not traditionally subjects of the Qaranivalu. In the House of Chiefs, the Roko Tui Waimaro does not have a seat, yet the Qaranivalu does apart from the Vunivalu na Tui Kaba, the Roko Tui Dreketi and the Ratu mai Verat (these are the chiefs from the Tebara.). The position of Roko Tui Naitasiri was only craeted by the Colonial Administration to aid them in the management of the Naitasiri Province.
- blah blah blah, you are obviously a person of very low intelligence. everything you say about Roko Tui Naitasiri is covered in my original comment.
- my comments were directed at an early version of the page, david and i worked on it and it got fixed. If you are too stupid to comprehend how things work here then i don't really have the time to educate you (but i do have the time to insult you).
- don't bite the newbies? but its so much fun! --Xorkl000 03:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

this page is absolute rubbish

check out local government of fiji - "Roko Tui, or executive head of the provincial council" - not a title of high chief.
