Qari Hussain is a leader of the Pakistani branch of the Taliban. He is believed alive today.

Hussain has been active in violent acts against the Pakistani government. Hussain runs a training camp for suicide bombers in Northwestern Pakistan.
In 2007 Hussain directed a series of bombings that almost split differing branches of the Taliban. [1] However, Hussain is still a commander of Taliban forces.
[edit] Reports of Death
Hussain was reported dead in January 2008 [2], but evidence appears to point otherwise. His house was destroyed in an air strike. [3]

According to Pakistani media, Hussain spoke with them on May 23, 2008. He is most likely in South Waziristan.
