[edit] WikiProject Palestine

I fail to see how Qalansawe is part of the WikiProject Palestine. It is in Israel! -NYC2TLV 21:18, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

WikiPalestine is not a project restricted to just things in "Palestine" (which technically doesn't exist.) Rather it is a boardbased project and includes the history of the region stretching back to the British Mandate of Palestine and in this case, it appears the connection is based on this being an Arab town that has existed prior to the creation of Israel (see the category "Arab localities in Palestine 1948" on the page.) The banner doesn't affect much as its only on the talk page. The ratings can differ for WikiProject Israel, thus the banners can co-exist in a parallel and non-competing fashion. --Abnn 01:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
