Qais Al-salman Almayahi (b. September 03, 1948) is an Iraq Researcher.
Studies & Research Work:
• Qais Irrigation System: Surpasses Japanese advanced irrigation system by 100%; whence it reduces cost by 50% and has won the praise of the Ministry of Agriculture of Sudan.
• Qais Pattern for agricultural production.
• Qais Framework for processing the productive operation.
• Assessment: Extolled by the Sudanese Minister of agriculture as a great national project with one of its goals to produce one million tons of rice a year.
• Studies on exploitation of natural resources for sustainable development (project submitted to heads of state of Ivory Cost, Mali, Tchad and Sudan 1997-2001).
• Studies for production by Sudan of one million tons of rice – seven years of field studies carried out by Japanese experts at the cost of $14 million – work team headed by me to complete study of economic feasibility.

3- Specialized studies completed in cooperation with:
a) Marine Centre and School of Agriculture at Basra University.
b) Veterinary Centre of Basra.
c) Preliminary Health Protection, division of contagious diseases and division of carcinomatous diseases at the Iraqi Health Ministry.

1- Project of Qais Al-Salman for holding an international convention to rescue Iraq and the Region from an environmental catastrophe- submitted to Ex-Secretary General – UN – Koffi Anan – Strategy for years 2007 through 2032.
2- Preliminary study of project for completion of installations of potable water at Basra Governate of Iraq.
3- Preliminary study of project of construction of waste water drainage network at Basra – Iraq.
4- Preliminary study of project of building the oil refinery at Fao city – Basra- Iraq.
5- Preliminary study of project of construction of electric power station + secondary stations for power supply.
Studies submitted to the Iraki Government:
August 2003: Qais Project to hold an international convention to rescue Iraq from an Environmental Catastrophe.
February 2004: Another study submitted through two members of the Governing Corps.
February 2004: Third study on use of toxic carcinomatous material in fishing and hunting also submitted through same members of the Governing Corps.
July 2004: submitted study of said international convention to the President of Iraq.
Nov. 2004: Study of project of National Environmental Corps submitted to members of parliament.
On Arab Level:
• Studies submitted to Minister of Environment of Lebanon on May 26, 2004, consisting of two projects:
a) The said International Convention to rescue the region from an environmental catastrophe.
b) Establishment of an Environmental Council of Cooperation with international participation to draw out the regional strategy for environmental safety and protection.
On International Level:
• Studies submitted to Danish External Affairs for achievement of certain projects all along the project of rescuing the region from the imminent environmental catastrophe.
• Studies submitted to international investment parties all along these lines.
• Studies for huge production of rice in Iraq similar to Sudan.
• Study of twinning project between Basra and a coast line city in Spain and another one for twinning of Basra with Rotterdam in Holland.
