This article is about the al-Qaeda branch. For the Indonesian militant group, see Tanzim Qaedat al-Jihad.
Qaedat al-Jihad (Arabic: Bases of Jihad) is a term used for a branch of al-Qaeda responsible for issuing press statements.
Statements were first issued under that name on 9 April, 2002.[1]
In 2008, a statement signed by Mustafa Abu al-Yazid claimed that a member of Qaedat al-Jihad was responsible for the 2008 Danish embassy bombing in Islamabad.[2]
