Q-Free ASA (OSE: QFR) is an electronic toll collection technology (ETC) deveopment company based in Trondheim, Norway. The company delivers systems for toll collection and automated ticketing globally and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

The company was established as Micro Design AS in 1984. In 1988 Q-Free ETC technology was installed in Trondheim and two years later in Oslo, the two systems being the precessor to the present AutoPASS technology in Norway. The companies first international delivery came in 1995 to Portugal and in 1997 the European standard for Electronic Toll Collection was introduced. In 1998 the company changed its name to Q-Free and entered the smartcard ticketing market. On April 3, 2002 the company was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. As of 2007 the corporation has subsidiaries or offices in Australia, Brazil, China, Greece, Italy, Malaysia, Norway and Portugal.
