Pythona

Pythona is a character in the GI Joe universe. Her only appearance was in G.I. Joe The Movie. Hasbro did not release an action figure for the toyline.

Forty thousand years before the series, the world was ruled by Cobra-La; a race of humanoids descended from snakes. However, the coming of the Ice Age destroyed their civilization. The last of their kind retreated to a hidden valley in the Himalayas, biding their time until the world was once again suitable for their habitation.
Pythona is one of the most trusted agents of Cobra-La's ruler, Golobulus. When Cobra-La came into conflict with the G.I. Joe team, Pythona was a part of several key operations. She infiltrated Cobra Island and steered Serpentor towards stealing the B.E.T. (Broadcast Energy Transmitter) for Cobra-La, then was a part of a later attack on the Joe fortress to free a captured Serpentor. During the final assault on Cobra-La, Pythona was a part of Golobulus' final line of defense against the invaders. During a confrontation with G.I. Joe ninja Jinx, Pythona was thrown into Golobulus' Abyss of Oblivion where she was presumed killed.
Personality/Motivation: Pythona is dedicated to the Cobra-La cause. She is ruthless in the pursuit of her objectives, and will not be deterred from accomplishing them by anyone. Aside from her training in combat, she also is an expert in Cobra-La society's protocols, and knows how to arrange a first-class reception with a red carpet of crabs. From her mannerisms it is speculated she may have been romantically attracted to Serpentor, but this was never elaborated.
Tactics/Powers: Pythona is incredibly strong and agile, well above any normal human. Her specialties are stealth and infiltration, but she is more than capable of holding her own in a fight. Her skin is very resilient to harm, while her clawed hands secrete acid that allows her to cut through solid metal.
She usually carries an assortment of bio-organic weapons, including gas grenade insects, face hugging squids, and vine-spewing beetles.
Appearance: Pythona has a medium height and slender build. She has light-green skin and slitted snake-like blue eyes. She is bald aside from a single long ponytail that drapes down from the top of her head. She wears an intricate pattern of purple face paint and lipstick that may or may not be tattoos, makeup, or her natural skin. Her normal garb is an organic-looking full length purple unitard adorned with colored spheres of lighter purple, red, and pink, worn under a long black cloak. She is voiced by Jennifer Darling.
