[edit] Melbourne photos
Hi Pyroslim, nice photos of Melbourne. There has been some discussion about the photos on the Melbourne article on the talk page. There really needs to be a rationalisation of the photos in the article. I have removed the photos temporarily until some rationalisation takes place. Feel free to be bold and remove some other photos if you wish to add yours back in. Also, when writing captions for your photos, try and keep a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia not a travel guide. Welcome again and I hope you stick around. -- Mattinbgn\talk 11:05, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Eureka Sunset from Southbank.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Eureka Sunset from Southbank.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 11:06, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Melbourne
Hi Pyroslim. If you are going to add images to the Melbourne article, please take some of the existing ones from the article. There are too many images in the article and it obscures some templates in some screen resolutions and generally looks untidy. Feel free to join the discussion on the article talk page about appropriate images. I would suggest that we only need one photo of the CBD, at night or otherwise.
Also, you may wish to think about uploading your photos to Wikimedia Commons. You can still use the images in Wikipedia but it also makes them available for use for other Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia in other languages. Cheers, Mattinbgn\talk 05:25, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Just to follow up, there is a gallery at Commons for Melbourne - see commons:Melbourne. It is also linked to from the Melbourne article in Wikipedia and the Wikipedia in other languages. -- Mattinbgn\talk 05:29, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
