Pyramica is a genus of myrmicine ants in the tribe Dacetini.

These ants are very similar to Strumigenys, but have short, triangular mandibles instead of thin, elongate ones[1].

[edit] Biology

Pyramica has almost always been found in leaf litter. They build their nests under bark or rocks. Some species hunt other small arthropods, and some species specialize in springtails, similar to Strumigenys.[1]

Pyramica is found worldwide in the tropics and subtropics. Some species occur in temperate regions.[1]
