Pyracantha atalantoides (common name, Gigg's Firethorn) is a species of Firethorn shrub. Its flowers are white and blooms from March to June. Its small berry shaped pome fruits are red. Its braches have long spines. It is grown in gardens and parks as ornamental plants. They are grown as hedges for home secrity reasons. The species originated fron southern China. It has been introduce in NA, but has been neutralise. It is sometimes used to make bonsai.
