Your continued joking at Rhetorical question is disruptive and considered vandalism, and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia without another warning if you continue. I'm assuming this is the same person as 75.15.154.238, who inserted the same joke into the article 4 times -- Robert See Hear Speak 06:14, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Flash Mob
Your contribution to the article Flash mob fails several of Wikipedia's guidelines. Please read WP:NOT, WP:Notability, WP:WEB and WP:ADVERT. Specially its notability to the encyclopedic article and the fact that there have been hundreds of other much larger and more media covered events such as the Flash Mobs that have been supressed by police etc. Also Wikipedia is not a listing for other companies or groups that fail notability guidelines or are unencyclopedic. Furthermore it is not a listing for other media content and you may want to look into the Wikipedia Commons. I will go policy by policy, point by point, but further infractions will be reverted on site as blatant vandalism. Mkdwtalk 10:04, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Pwscottiv: With regards to your attempts to start a list of flash mobs, you may wish to review Wikipedia's guidelines for external links. The project is, among other things, not intended to be a directory or a guide to groups. This should not in any way be taken as a comment on your particular group, or the subject as a whole. It is merely a reminder of the role and purpose of this encyclopedia. Feel free to ask if you require any further explanation, and please don't let this discourage you from contributing to Wikipedia. Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 08:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not make personal attacks as you did at User talk:Mkdw. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
On that note please read WP:NOT. You will see that Wikipedia NOT a directory or listing. Vancouver has a flash mob of over 300 twice a year that's covered by all media outlets, but that still does not make it notable for the Flash Mob article. And please try and remain civil. Its the foundation of Wikipedia. Mkdwtalk 20:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
You're obviously a very new editor to Wikipedia and its evident you still find the process of policy confusing. I encourage you to read more on Wikipedia policy. The answers are there and why certain lists are able to be kept and why others are not. Right now you're becoming emotionally attached to articles relating directly to yourself which is causing NPOV issues. Many of which if taken objectively are blatantly obvious why they cannot be kept. I consider this matter closed at this time. If you wish, you may take it to a mediation commitee, but since the content you wish to add is in direct violation of long withstanding policy, I doubt they'll rewrite Wikipedia for it. [edit] Proposed deletion of Relative Gravitational Wind
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Relative Gravitational Wind, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:57, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
