A very successful film producer, a leading industrialist and a social activist. [1]
Born at Calicut in 1943 as the son of Late P. V. Madhavi Sami and P.V. Sami (Founder of KTC Group of Companies and a veteran freedom fighter), Sri. P.V.Gangadharan is one of the most prolific producers in South Indian cinema.[2]
He has produced 22 malayalam films under the banner ‘Grihalakshmi Productions'. Many of these films have won several national and international recognitions.

The film “Santham” won the National Award for the best film of the year 2000. 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha' won 4 national awards in 1989 which includes the best actor award for Sri Mammooty. The films Ennu Swantham Jaanakikutty, Kochu kochu Santhoshangal and Kaanakinavu have won several national awards in various categories.
