The Putrajaya Monorail is a monorail in Putrajaya that is under construction. Putrajaya was originally to have a light rail system, and construction of tunnels for said system was ongoing, when plans were changed, and a monorail plan was selected. It calls for two lines--one 12 km line with 17 stations, and one 6 km line with 6 stations.[1] Construction was halted in 2004, and will probably resume as the city becomes more populated.[2] The monorail will include the Monorail Suspension Bridge, currently incomplete,[3] and the Putra Bridge.[4] It will connect to the Cyberjaya/Putrajaya ERL station. The project will cost RM400 million.[5]
