Pushpa Thangadorai

Sri Venugopal (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ வேணுகோபால்) is a Tamil language author of religious pilgrimage travelogues, who alo writes fiction under the name (Tamil: புஷ்பா தங்கதுரை).

His two most famous serialized novels are En Peyir Kamala (My Name is Kamala) (1974-75) and Oru Sivappu Villaku Erikirathu (The Red Light Is On) (1976), about life in the brothels of Delhi and Bombay. Some of his stories have also been adapted as Tamil films, for example Oru Oothaappu Kann Simittukirathu (An Aster Is Winking).[1]
