These experimental deletion things suck. Because, as you can see, the page has not been deleted. The page is still here. Scuze me, while I kiss the sky. --Xyzzyplugh 13:27, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] thank you whoever wrote whats below

Purple Haze is not a strain of Pot. At least not anymore. It no longer exists.

^^ that is what i'm thanking you for, because that is correct. this article almost makes it seem as if its a legit strain and not just a name people throw on anything resembling or smelling like haze

[edit] Prod tag

I removed the external link to Erowid's slang dictionary, since it's description of "Purple Haze" is a type of LSD. I prod tagged it because it's unsourced and doesn't seem to have enough verifiable info to merit it's own article. OhNoitsJamieTalk 18:14, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Found verifiable sources through Lexis/Nexis. There are other instances of the term referring to pot or pot busts than just the NYTimes but I figured one was enough. LExis/Nexis gets newspaper articles but does not provide urls, these articles may or may not be on their respective papers' web sites. Someone can add the urls if they find them. Purple Haze doesn't exist (anymore). There is no strain Purple Haze. Haze was invented the US and there was a green and a purple line. The green line exists, the purple one not. There are many purple strains and there are many purple sativa strains but they aren't THE strain PURPLE Haze.

[edit] Hmmmmm

Wikipedia says: "This article related to psychedelics, dissociatives and deliriants is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it."

I say: I'll do it tomorrow, I'm busy expanding something else. :)

[edit] terrible article

The page looks terrible and as information goes its mainly all incorrect. I could make big changes and include references. I am a long time member of the California Medical Marijuana Community and I would like others also to contribute their knowledge to the strain pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjpresson (talkcontribs) 17:51, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Well I tried to find what I could about the original purple haze. It seems to just be a Haze plant that turned purple and was always purple because clones were passed around. Now I did find some detailed info on the old haze strains of the 70s and I hope to work on that some more later. Please forgive the lack of references as it's 4:15 AM here in Girdwood and I am going to bed. Quickmythril (talk) 13:15, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
