I believe that Purity Control is important enough in the mythology of The X-files to have it's own page. I realize that there is barely enough information, but I will continue to work on it for the next couple of weeks. If you are willing to help, I would be VERY happy :) (especially with the Japanese portion of the project. As per Chris Carter Purity Control was started back in 1948 after the first UFO crashed in Roswell. The Syndicate, using information they obtain from databases found in the wreckege in Roswell learn that the Alien race is planning to repopulate the Earth.

Of course this is before they struck a deal with the Alien Colonists in the 70's

Purity Control was mostly made up of Germain Scientists who were granted assylum after WWII.

I'm not posting this because I'm not sure if the project originally had anything to do with Aliens.. however, as the name of it reflects the name of the Black Oil would suggest that it has everything to do with Aliens. But why would they want to create a hybrid before they had struck a deal with the Colonists?

Answer: Alien/Human Hybrids are immune to the black oil. Therefore, they were trying to create a super soldier that could resist the colonist. They were unsuccessful and thats when they decided to cooperate.
