"Purple" is the third release from Skin's second album Fake Chemical State. As of yet, it has only been released on CD in The Netherlands but was set for release elsewhere in Europe later in 2006. The single release outside of the Netherlands is still undecided. A download EP is available from iTunes to most audiences. The CD single features live-acoustic tracks from a recent radio broadcast for 3FM in The Netherlands. The song was originally planned to contain much darker music, but was changed at the last moment, Skin has stated that it is her favourite song from Fake Chemical State, and it is a firm favourite amongst fans.

[edit] Lyrics

This is a snippet of some of the lyrics to the single. For the full lyrics from Skin's official site, see here

[edit] Verse 1 and 2

  Purple washes over me
  Seeping through my open seams
  I’m stained all over

  You pretend we’ve started again
Waiting for me to say when
  But I say purple

[edit] Chorus

  She won’t go
  Where I
  I would go for you
  I’d curse my heart
  For you
