The Purple-edged Copper (Palaeochrysophanus hippothoe) is a butterfly of the family Lycaenidae.

  • Period of flight: June–July, one generation, range around 1500 m.
  • Plants favoured: Rumex spp. and Polygonum bistorta.
  • Home: Western Europe around the region of the river Amur.
