Purodha is a quarterly journal published by the Sri Aurobindo Society in Pondicherry, India. Its major purpose is to support and propagate the teachings of Integral Yoga of late Guru and renowned Indian mystic Swami Śrī Aurobindo.
A subscription of the journal, which has been in existence for several decades, is offered to new members of the society in their entry form. It is currently being published in the languages Bengali and Hindi.
'Purodha' is a word in the Sanskrit language meaning approximately torchbearer, i.e. generally someone bringing or holding a source of enlightenment, supporting others in their own ways of yoga, meditation, or whatsoever discipline they follow to become godlier. 'Purodha' is also used as the title given to a specific teaching person during yoga exercise and meditation camps and schools. He is usually in a supportive role to both the attendants and the teachers, similar to an assistant teacher.
