Purnomo Yusgiantoro

Purnomo Yusgiantoro (born 16 June 1951 in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, is an Indonesian politician, being the Republic of Indonesia's Minister of Energy.

He completed his Undergraduate studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology, reading Engineering in 1984. He then pursued his Masters (MA) in 1986 in Economics from the University of Colorado and Graduated in 1988, where thereafter, he took a PhD in "Resource Economics" at the Colorado School of Mines [1]

He was Deputy Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) and OPEC's Secretary-General (in 2004), and is the Republic of Indonesia's "Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources" (2001-present), a World Bank consultant, and the founder of the Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics [2].
