Purification Through Violence is the first proper album (after Infatuation with Malevolence, a collection of early demos) by brutal death metal band Dying Fetus, released in 1996.
This album represents DF when they were still in their "gory" phase, and when the sound focused more on brutal death metal's intensity. Technical riffing was still in its earliest phases.
The band left Pulverizer Records shortly after the album's release.
